Usually Held In The Fall In Venango County
White Cane Month Is October, But The Oil Valley Chapter Usually Holds Thier Walk The First Friday In September For Better Weather. Our Walk Rotates From Franklin To Oil City And Is Held To Bring Focus To An Area That May Need An Audible Pedestrian Signal. Influential People Are Invited And Equiped With "Vision Adjusters" That Let Them Experience What It's Like To Walk With Various Types Of Sight...From Completely Blind, To Tunnel Vision...Letting The Participant "Take A Walk In Our Shoes" So To Speak.
